Searching For The Best Toddler Apps

By Robyn House

Helping your child learn in an enjoyable way can sometimes help them learn quicker. Finding the best toddler apps for your smart phone is just a case of seeing which ones work the best for your child's level of understanding. An application that expects the child to drag and drop letters to spell a word, is obviously too difficult for a child who has not yet learnt to recognize and differentiate between letters. best toddler apps

A variety of adults have discovered that the right application on their smart phone can mean they can eat in peace with their friends or spouse at a restaurant. Their child is immersed in primary colors and animations or easy learning and they in turn can socialize without their child wanting all their attention while they all sit together. It can work out well for a meal time out of the house now and again.

Parents sometimes hand their babies a set of keys to play with, to keep them busy for a few minutes, while they chat with someone. Now many adults find that handing their smart phone with an application geared to the child's learning ability and enjoyment, can have them happily standing or sitting by their side. Learning and having fun, as they chat to a nursery nurse about their child's day or other such occasion.

Some are free that can be upgraded and others just have a variety of learning levels for a fee. It may be nice to try one that helps the child to learn to match colors. Another may help them with recognition of alphabet letters and so on.

There are also some that have nursery songs with animations. Another kind may be one that gives first words, so the child drags and places alphabet letters to copy a word explaining the picture. There are also some that has a narrator who reads stories, but has a function for the child to read the highlighted words as well. This works well once a child has alphabet recognition, and has progressed to simple word recognition. They can then start to try to read along.

The best toddler apps to help your child or children learn and have fun will depend on your choices when you pick them and your child's level of understanding. Some apps cost a little, others are free. It is up to you which ones you try.
