Have You Played Blizzard's WoW (the Sequel To Warcraft III)?

By Vick Freeman

If there is one game in the world that has turned millions of players into zombies with eyes glued to their computer screen and hands bonded to the mouse and keyboard, World of Warcraft from Blizzard Entertainment would certainly be the one. Shortly after the game was released in '04, masses of players reached for an opportunity for something new and exciting. It was to revolutionize the Warcraft franchise and gave a true depth to the interaction between human players.

Since gold is king in WoW from Blizzard, many players have taking upon themselves to engage in the activity of gold farming which really involves collecting as much gold as possible through various tactics. Gold is a hot commodity because of the abilities it gives a player within the game, but some have even put up their stash for sale on the internet. It was such a craze that selling WoW gold, or even WoW Heirlooms, on eBay has now been banned, but most have just resorted to selling gold on their own individual websites.

The allure of the game is really its extensive detail and endless entertainment with infinitely many independent paths for a character to take. Unlike most RPGs where one must customize their character at the beginning, characters in Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft (another Warcraft franchise) are actually able to continually develop their character with primary and secondary skills. It is the secondary skills that make this game so unique, and they involve things such as leatherworking, blacksmithing, enchanting, archaeology, and a myriad more.

A player can choose how he or she will play the game from the beginning. There is the option to choose normal game play which means the player will fight non-human enemies in the game, and there is the option to choose PvP which means player versus player. PvP characters also fight non-human enemies to gain experience and obtain items to strengthen their character. PvP has a sub-level where characters can fight against other factions.

Although Blizzard's fantasy game World of Warcraft offers such an expansive world for players to explore, not all players have the time to do so or would like to do so a little faster. With the sheer size of the player base, many auxiliary services exist for other players to utilize to level their character faster or gain more gold. There are Blizzard Entertainment's WoW leveling guides available, but it is even possible to buy gold online with real money.
