Wii is a seventh generation console that contends with Xbox 360 of Microsoft and Sony PlayStation3. Wii has advanced features offered compared to the previous Nintendo consoles. The device has a wireless controller as well as a handheld remote. The handheld remote can be used in pointing and it distinguishes movement in three dimensions.

Another advanced feature of the device is its WiiConnect24. It enables to receive messages and get updates over the Internet while in standby mode.
