I have to admit I can't ever remember winning though, having said that it had been pleasant to just try and defeat my father or grandpa!

Unfortunately, I've barely played the game of chess on a couple of occasions since. Because of the entire concept of growing up, I guess sport overcame my life and today I'm stuck being employed! It is a real shame because if I'd used more hours playing chess and getting to know a variety of diverse strategies and techniques, I might have had the opportunity that would put up a good fight versus a good chess participant!

There's no doubt I will begin competing again soon, with the aim to improve adequately enough to join a chess club. I have seen there's an assortment of internet sites online enabling players playing up against the other user and rank themselves in the chess clubs. To begin with, I do not believe that this can indicate well upon my own chess ability! However perhaps in some time, I can hopefully obtain some pro tips!
