Is a Personal Pilot License Capable of flying you safely?

By Mark Duran

It is true that a private pilot does not have the certification to fly a big passenger plane, or a cargo plane, simply because they lack that intensive information that giant airplanes and cockpits need. However, this doesn't mean that they lack in knowledge and ability to function a smaller plane, the truth is, a private pilot can comfortably fly a plane from one airport to another.

The media is all the time the primary avenue that makes individuals lack confidence in private pilots. That is so because the media goes a great distance in declaring the misdeeds of the non-public pilots in case of an accident, or a close to miss. They also focus a lot on the dearth of expertise of the private pilots. What the media doesn't inform is the other facet of the story.

The other aspect of the coin is the qualification process that the so-called incapable pilots endure to achieve the certification of a non-public pilot. The media never tells you of the huge amounts of hours that a non-public pilot has to place as part of the training program.

A non-public pilot is required to place in additional than 40 hours of his/her time to be taught the art of flying. Do not forget that that is only a minimum for some pilots might put as much as 80 hours of their time in the learning process.

Many flight colleges, if not all, request for medical examination certificates from the FAA certified physicians. Individuals who fail the test can't proceed on the journey of turning into a private pilot. You also need to know that a personal pilot undergoes coaching that allows him/her to fly during the day, and at night. In addition they extensively study the rules of flying, and extra so, English language, as a result of it is broadly used in many airports.

To answer the sooner question, yes, a private pilot is qualified and succesful to fly you safely from one place to another.
